I have a 2006 F-150 4X4, and recently did a search to find out what should be used in the transfer case. I don't have an owner's manual. Found a website that showed either Mercon LV or XL-12. I went with Mercon LV about 200 miles ago.Now I am reading that Mercon LV should only be used in TCs mated to a Mercon LV trans.
