The meat quality (beef, pork, and lamb) have been great, and although this is not an AYCE place, have always left very full. The personal shabu shabu comes with your choice of meat and a separate bowl of veggies, tofu, and udon noodles along with a bowl of rice. They also provide 2 dipping sauces - a nice ponzu and savory sesame sauce. Mokkoji Shabu shabu has been the OC staple for shabu shabu for a while now. I enjoyed my last visit, so I hope to enjoy my visit again. I ordered my usual sukiyaki broth and it was delightful (it also comes with a raw egg dipping sauce). We also all the meats in XL portion and enjoyed it in family style.I love Shabu. One of my favorite meals. Slice isn't the best Shabu restaurant, but it's good and it's close to my house. The restaurant has sleek, minimalist decor and 2 big flat screen TVs always playing sports. There are high and low seats. 3 or 4 beers on tap. Pristinely clean. Very casual place.
