The whole family has always been involved in the main plot in almost all episodes. While I feel the show has still been great, I'm missing the interdimensional travel and portal gun action and classic Rick and Morty dynamic.The fact that c-137 Morty isn't the Rickest Rick's original (since he doesn't exist) Morty, means that c-137 Morty isn't the Mortiest Morty. The way I would've done it is once Story Lord asks his writer for motivation, the writer enthusiastically accepts the challenge then we cut away until Rick and Morty finally return to find Story Lord and his writer arguing in the writers room with a bunch of diagrams, plot bullet points etc. written on the whiteboard.Morty's biggest fears turned out to be irrational.
